Front end test fit

Stripped the existing front end off, including removing the lights and associated wiring.

Removed the existing steering head bearings with a drift and hammer, measured up for the new ones.
New steering stem is of a bigger diameter but the lengths seem to work perfectly at this stage.  Final fit up might be a little different though.
I've ordered the new head bearings as taper roller bearings, which are stronger and more durable than the stock ones.  The sizes required are a little difficult to get but have managed to find some on Ebay. These have been ordered so hopefully won't be too long till I receive. Upper bearings are 30x47x12, lower are 30x55x15.

Brakes discs line up perfectly in the middle of the calipers, but the caliper positions will need to be adjusted by machining the caliper legs by 12mm due to the Honda discs being 296mm as opposed to the Triumph that were 320mm. I may just cut these carefully by hand.

Wheel bearings being typical Honda are a custom size at 20x45x12. The new Triumph axle is larger than the Honda by 5mm so the only bearings available are 25x47x12. This will require the wheel to be machined out each side to suit. There is plenty of aluminium in the bearing well so will be well within tolerances to remove some material.  I can then use off the shelf bearings. I'll also need to get new seals that suit the 25mm axle (25x47x7 Seals).
